Originally dedicated to our upcoming arrival, this blog quickly evolved into a post pregnancy scrapbook all about baby Dexter. Now, three years on we’ve added another baby to the mix (Heidi) and there are two Mills Babies to fuss over, rant about, and fall in love with. It is, simply put, a collection of pictures, videos and snippets of our thoughts that will provide lasting memories for ourselves, our families, and of course Dexter and Heidi!
If you’re a brand who would like to work with us. Please check out my PR / Disclosure Policy!
So who are we??
Well I’ve just joined the 30-something club (early days but it all goes downhill from here!). I’m mummy to a 4-year-old rascal, Dexter Thomas Mills, and 2-year-old daughter, Heidi Jessica Mills. When not struggling with lack of sleep & laying comatose on the sofa, I love traveling, blogging and gardening. I’m a home bird, but love all-things outdoors. When you don’t find me glued to my laptop, you’ll find me in the wendy house with Dexter watering his pansies!
Daddy is Craigy! He’s the best daddy ever and I can’t wait to become his wife. He shares my love of adventure and ambition to emigrate to Oz - but that’s where our similarities end. Craig is the cook and tech geek (I’m very much allowed to enjoy the life of Riley whilst he slaves over the stove). When he hasn’t got his hands up a chicken, he’ll be huddled over the iPad! Oh and he’s 45… yes 45. Don’t let the grey hairs fool you though, his skin care regime is better than mine and he acts like a teenager.
But here’s who you are really interested in…
Dex (4 years)
Here’s the most awesome 5-year-old you’ll ever meet.
He might not have mastered how to talk yet, but he’s already sent several Tweets from my iPhone. He might not be able to ride a bike yet, but he’s already learnt how to make a room looked burgled in 30 seconds. He’s our absolute world, but he’s a law unto himself.
From what I can gather, Dexter likes fish fingers, tablets (thankfully of the technology kind), Spiderman, and ruining mummy’s plants. He’s quite a trend-setter (thanks to mummy), and has a taste for the finer things (thanks to daddy). As a result, he loves being papped by mummy trying out new clothes and toys.
Things that make him smile!
Swings, slides, soft play, bath-time, emptying cupboards / bags / shelves (nothing is safe), rhyme-time, and anything with buttons. Oh and he’s a HUGE Fireman Sam and /Minion fan.
Things that make him cry!
Not being able to get into cupboards / bags / shelves… bed-time and vegetables!
Heidi (3 Years)
Weighing in a diddy 6lb 9oz, Heidi joined the family in April 2014 (2 weeks late, might I add). She’s capable of long stints of sleep - but on her own terms. She’s great at feeding - but on her own terms. She’ll give you the odd smile - but on her own terms.
Oh and she already has more clothes than mummy, and more hair than daddy!
Things that make her smile!
Cuddles, the sound of the hoover, and cucumber. She’s also slowly gaining an appreciation of the world around her and loves toddling around. She’s also the world’s foremost expert on Paw Patrol.
Things that make her cry!
Her brother’s screams, that split second when she’s moved from mummy’s arms to her bed, and potty-training..
So that’s all from us!
Wish us luck, and pop back any time for the latest news from team Mills and our little legends!
