Love Sales? Look no further…

Okay, we all love sales. In fact, we’re ridiculous enough to queue for them, stay up late for them or even fight over them - Yep I’ve seen grown women fight over a pack of baby vests in Next…

To be honest, I’m poking fun at something I’m guilty of. I’m a mum, so therefore sale shopping makes utter sense.

Actually… sale shopping no matter who you are, is a pretty educated move.

I’m a member of tons of Facebook Groups run by fellow bargain hunters, but as these rely on people sharing, loads of great deals are often missed. As sharing is caring and all that, I have something pretty cool to share… A site that aggregates sales from across the web into a live stream - LoveSales.com

You can personalise your feed to include all your favourite brands from Reiss, to All Saints to Joules so ALL sales will appear in your stream. I’m not just talking a notification of a Debenhams Blue Cross sale either, it identifies great deals on individual items reduced between 25% to 75% and these will appear in your feed also.

Alongside your own feed, you can also check out all sales from every brand Love Sales track by clicking on the Latest Sales icon. You can them drill down further by selecting to view by male and female sales, or by brand (alphabetically).

Even better..? If you find a full-price pair of shoes or little black dress you can’t live without whilst browsing the web, you can download a button to your toolbar that allows you to save them to a Love Sales list. Love Sales will then track them for you and alert you the instant they go on Sale!

If you’re interested in a particularly expensive pair of heels and you husband has flat out vetoed you spending the rent money on them, you can even fiddle with your Price Drop Alerts to notify you when it drops by any amount or by 20% / 30% / 50% or specify your own target price!

Love Sales is even SmartPhone friendly. Okay you can’t use your Love Sales button, but the guys at LoveSales HQ have made it ridiculously easy to add a product to you Love Sales list:

  1. Go to a product you want to add to your List on your mobile device
  2. Click the ‘Share’ button
  3. Then click the ‘Email’ option
  4. A new Email will appear with the web address (URL) of the product in the body of the email
  5. Don’t make any changes to the content of the email. All you need to do is send it to the following email address: addthis@lovesales.com
  6. The product will then be automatically added to your Love Sales List and they’ll will continuously track it for you and alert you if it drops in price or goes on Sale!

Funky Giraffe Bibs Review

Bibs are an essential baby accessory that often cause more frustration than is necessary. Whether it’s itchy velcro fastenings, troublesome stains, or just that you never seem to be able to find a clean one when you need it - you’ll find yourself moaning about them at least 5 times a day during the early stages of parenthood.

The trick is to find a brand that fit well, are comfortable for baby and available in tons of different colours to suit every dinky outfit and sleepsuit you bought. Once you find a bib that does the trick, buy tons of them. I’m talking 15-20. You’ll be amazed how many you’ll end up washing in a week, and how quickly they mysteriously disappear down the sides of your sofa or into the depths of your changebag.

Dexter did have a few bandana bibs when he was younger (Funky Giraffe Bibs as it happens), but he wasn’t a particularly dribbly baby and was out of cloth bibs and into plastic ones as soon as we started weaning him. Heidi, on the other hand started teething at 6 weeks and is constantly sporting a chin full of baby drool. She’s also developed an annoying habit of falling asleep mid-bottle so a pool of milk will collect in the creases of her neck saturating her clothes.

Okay, I didn’t last spectacularly long breastfeeding my babies. Although 6 weeks felt like a lifetime, it isn’t.
