I’m sadly coming to the end of my TalkTalk contract and will miss tons about the television package. In fact, in the short time I’ve been working with TalkTalk, I’ve been impressed with their constant partnerships and commitment to offering their customers the very best in entertainment at the most competitive prices.
Their Netflix agreement is the latest in a number of significant developments for TalkTalk TV. Over the past 12 months TalkTalk TV completed the YouView shareholders agreement for a further five years, extended its partnership with Sky for wholesale premium content and added Sky entertainment channels into its Plus TV package - best of all, everything is opt-in, opt-out to make it the most flexible package out there whilst many of us are in the grips of financial uncertainty.
I can honestly say I’d never be without Netflix again, and I thank TalkTalk wholeheartedly for introducing me to it. Not only do they have a fabulous choice of kids telly to keep Dexter entertained whilst I do the washing-up, there’s film and television shows that really blow your mind too. Their exclusive content is just world’s apart from traditional broadcasting networks and they aren’t afraid of pushing boundaries and signing big names to create unmissable cult tv programmes.
Here’s my quick (adult’s only) pick of the best!
Orange is the New Black
Watched it all in a matter of weeks. Be prepared for lots of naughtiness, but to feel infinitely sorry for Piper Chapman, portrayed by the amazing Taylor Schilling. It’s a hard-hitting comedy with balls that is, in my opinion, a satirical and more intelligent version of Prison Break. Piper finds herself in jail with some much savvier women and has to confront her sexuality, detractors and loss of freedom all in one hit.
American Horror Story

I was so gripped I’d go to bed early to watch this on my Nexus, partly because the sex scenes were enough to make me blush. This is a series that aims to confront every conceivable horror (from the undead, to sadomasochism, to the supernatural), all wrapped up in a smart series of gripping stories portrayed by actors such as Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates. The theme tune alone will make you itch.
Better Call Saul

Currently exclusive to Netflix, this is the long awaited spin-off to Breaking Bad. I haven’t seen any of this yet, but judging by the way is Craig coming way too late to bed with red eyes, I’m guessing it’s good. Can you afford to miss it?
So well done TalkTalk, keep it up. You’ve given us both HOURS of adult time together in the evening, and your commerical savviness will bring this to the masses.
