READY, STEADY, WEAN!
I’m delighted and dismayed in equal measure that Heidi-Bum is now officially ready to wean (where has the time gone?). I remember this all too well with Dexie (above)!
Heidi be joining a whole host of other bloggers following Cow & Gate’s brand new 5 step weaning plan that will guide us through introducing first spoonfuls to establishing 3 meals a day. Their new plan will be completely tailored to Heidi, offer tons of recipes, allow us to track her likes & dislikes, as well as getting fab money off coupons to help us trial as many pre-made yummy concoctions as we can.
The online plan has been created by the team of expert nutritionists and baby feeding advisors at Cow & Gate, offering top tips, advice and simple recipes. I figure they know what they’re doing - The team at Cow & Gate have been helping mums feed their babies for 110 years!

We’ll be filming the adventure on a brand new shiny GoPro and sharing the footage with you all. It’s hoped we can get all those hilarious ‘food faces’ on film, and help other mums cope with the big W and all the stresses and tribulations that goes with it.

At the Twitter party, Cow & Gate and co want to hear your tips and experiences about all stages of weaning your little one. They’ll also have Cow & Gate’s expert nutritionist, Katie Fordham, on hand to offer handy advice and recipes.
And that’s not all! They’re giving away 5 x £50 Mothercare vouchers for the best weaning tips, Tweets and pics submitted during the party!
They want to know:
- How did you approach weaning?
- What was your baby’s first food, & did they like it?
- What foods are you finding the trickiest to introduce?
- What’s your breakfast routine?
- What are your little one’s favourite fruit or veg flavours?
- What are your favourite meals to make for your baby?
- How do you encourage your little one to tuck in?
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
- First make sure you are following @Tots100 @lollinski and @CowandGate on Twitter
- Tweet them all between 1pm – 2pm on October 1st with your weaning experiences, and weaning questions for the nutritionist
- Don’t forget to use the #5StepWeaning hashtag in your Tweets!
