Name: Gem.. Gemma… Or just plain “Oi” - I’ll answer to most things.
Blog: Strangely enough, it’s this one - My Mills Baby
Twitter ID: @MyMillsBaby
Height: This will sound strange but I’ve no idea! Hmmm, I reckon 5ft 4 ish without heels, and there definitely won’t be any hooker shoes on my feet for Britmums - I’ll be carrying my new daughter Heidi around with me!
Hair: Long, black and straight. Given Heidi has a tendency to eat it, it’ll probably be shoved in a messy ponytail. Glam mum I am not.
Eyes: Blue
Is this your first blogging conference?
Yep. I don’t often see sunlight much to be honest. Dexter and I have been invited to so many events but the travel is often a step too far for us. Now add in Heidi and it’s virtually impossible!
Are you attending both days?
Yep. I’m taking my family with me and we’re all be staying in a swanky hotel somewhere in London. Craig will be showing Dexter the sights whilst I’ll be trying to keep Heidi quiet during the speaker sessions. If I can’t manage it and I spot enough people glaring at us in frustration, Heidi-Bum will go to Daddy for a few hours. No pressure Heidi!
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2014?
Seeing some of my blogger pals. When times get rough and I shout out for a bit of advice on my blog, I get all teary when so many people take the time to respond. I’ve made tons of amazing friends that I’ve never seen in person.
Oh and I must admit that the lure of a goody bag always helps…
What are you wearing?
Whatever isn’t stained with baby sick on the morning of the conference. I can guarantee no cleavage though - Heidi wouldn’t be able to contain herself.
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2014?
Putting faces to names. I’m sure I’ll pick up tons of blogging tips too - but I’ll be resisting the urge to take too many notes as I tend to get carried away. I figure anything important will stick.
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Nope. I do however run a Facebook group (Britmums Cocktail Hour) where people to can share their experiences of the event, any anxieties and any tips. The whole group thing is one big excuse for me to arrange a evening get together with everyone… speaking of which, I best crack on with it!
This post is linked up to the official Britmums Live linky “I’m Going to Britmums Live!“- if you’d like to see who else will be attending this year, this is as good a place to start as any
It’ll be so lovely to meet you all Gemma. I can’t wait to go, though I’m a tab nervous too if I’m honest! See you there! x
