As the weather continues to stay lovely here in the UK (at least it does here in the sunny South East), and many of us already have our suck-it-all-in swimsuits on order ready for a family holiday abroad, we’ve been slathering suncream on Dexter like it’s going out of fashion. As Dexter also has sensitive skin, I’m always looking out for great value products that rub in easily and lock in moisture without drying out his skin.
When I was contacted by NO-AD to try their sun lotion out for size, I was immediately struck by the low price point. Having been paying upwards of £20 for sun lotion that suited Dexie’s skin, it didn’t seem likely that NO-AD could match the quality of my usual brand.
Trialling it on my skin first, you’re immediately struck by the lovely coconut scent. It rubs in like milk or lotion - completely non greasy, transparent and with no sheen. After less than a minute my skin was nice and soft with none of the usual stickiness you come to expect from sunscreen.
Applying it to Dexie was fabulous. You didn’t have to wait for 10 minutes before clothing him and the lotion didn’t stick to his problem areas (the folds in his chubby legs or under his chin). So many times I’ve had to chase him around the living room struggling to hold onto him as he’s so greasy - but NO-AD was incredibly easy to apply.
But here’s the best bit.
NO-AD has been awarded a ‘best buy’ accolade by a leading US consumer magazine for the last four years running , now it’s over here and they’re standing by exactly the same principles. NO-AD’s philosophy is ‘More Lotion, Less Promotion’, meaning their superior brand is available in large (practical sizes) for less than £10 a bottle. It’s just unbeatable value for money.
You can buy your own online at the Suncare Shop for just £7.99 for a 500ml bottle, or buy in store at ASDA, TJ Hughes, and Boyes (whilst summer stock lasts) where additional promotions may apply.
For more information on the brand, you can visit them at www.noadsuncream.co.uk or say hello on Twitter and Facebook. Or if you’re feeling lucky, they’ve given me a huge family bundle to giveaway to one of you. The prize consists of the following:
- NO-AD Sun Protection Lotion SPF50 500ml
- NO-AD Sun Protection Lotion SPF30 500ml
- NO-AD Aloe After Sun Lotion 500ml
- NO-AD Babies SPF50 100ml
- NO-AD Kids SPF30 100ml
- A fabulous beach pool for the pool
- A fab folding water bottle (suitable for freezing and taking to the beach)
- A NO-AD draw string bag
- Only 1 option is mandatory (leave me a comment) – the rest only improve your chances of winning so just complete as many as you feel like
- UK entrants only – you must be over 18 too (sorry)
- The winner will be contacted by email and must respond within 1 week of having been emailed (I’ll try all known avenues to contact them) or a new winner will be drawn
- When the giveaway is closed, Rafflecopter will select the winner completely at random
- The winners name will be published on this site
