Facial wipes are a must for the busy mother - since Dexter was born I have considerably less time to get ready in the mornings. Gone are the face masks and collagen injections, a quick wipe to remove yesterday’s eye make-up (that has slipped down my cheeks making me look like Marilyn Manson) is about the extent of my daily regime.

Our supermarket shelves are literally packed with different brands competing for our attention. With many made up of different complex ingredients they all claim they’ll leave you spot-free, fresh-faced, even-complexioned, and downright gorgeous. But the very fact they’re often loaded with fragrance and preservatives means many will sting your skin and leave it feeling tight. They’ve always been a poor cousin to a bottled cleanser and cotton wall.

When asked to trial WaterWipes Facial Wipes I jumped at the chance. Having reviewed their baby wipes (and fallen in love with them), I just knew they’d be strong, wet, and kind to my skin. Given Dexter’s peachy bum hasn’t had any nappy rash since using the baby wipes, how could the facial wipes be any different?

Capture4 GIVEAWAY & REVIEW: Win a Month’s Supply of WaterWipes Facial Wipes (CD 19/8/2013)

Similar to their award-winning baby wipes, these facial wipes are 100% natural (99.9% ultra-purified water, 0.1% citrus grapefruit seed extract and dead sea minerals) they are thick and strong enough to get the job done, yet soft and gentle enough to use everyday. As they don’t contain any skin irritants (such as alcohol, fragrance, lanolin, perfume, or oil) you’re left with hydrated and soft-to-touch skin.

As a liquid eyeliner fan, I can confirm they remove even the toughest of waterproofs making them perfect for the delicate skin around your eyes. I’m also assured that they are also fabulous for those of you that suffer with any minor dermatological conditions (being approved by Allergy UK) and these wipes are suitable for all skin types (no matter how sensitive).

I won’t be using anything else now - they just do the job so perfectly.

Want to try them for yourself? As well as being available on Ocado’s shelves, WaterWipes have offered me a months supply of WaterWipes facial wipes to giveaway to one of you. As ever, entry is via Rafflecopter - Good luck!

  1. Always take your make up off at night - even if drunk!!!! Your skin needs to breathe and repair while you sleep!

  2. Remove any make-up (with a cleanser or whatever you use), then rinse the skin with water (cold water will act as a tonic) and finish by moisturising.

  3. Always remove make-up at the end of the day to let your skin breathe nothing worse then blocked pores :{

  4. Always take your make up off and wash face before bed , don’t was it in the morning allow the natural oils build during the night. Really good for the skin.

  5. remember your skin reflects what you put into your body, so nourish your skin from the inside and eat healthily!

  7. Don’t wear makeup all the time, use a good suncream barrier, and wash your face in cold water night and morning.

  8. Make your own scrub with olive oil, fine sea salt or sugar and some calming essential oils. Use it a couple of times a week and rinse off the residue with a really mild face wash.

  9. Moisturise, whilst being more attentive in the summer and on windy days. As both sun and wind can dry out skin.

  10. Moisturise your neck as well. You can always tell women who have spent ages on their face but their neck shows their real age!!

  11. Always cleanse tone and moisturise before you go to bed and before you put make-up on always apply moisturiser in small amounts using your finger tips rub in gentle starting at the neck and work up the face.

  12. Always take off your make-up before bed = otherwise it can be very scary when you catch sight of yourself in the mirror in the morning ;)

  13. Drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated and young looking.

Cleanse, tone and moisturize every day.
Make sure all products contain natural ingredients.
When drying your face, don’t rub. Just tap your face gently with a towel.
If you get a lot of sunshine, then don’t forget to wear a moisturizer/foundation with SPF in it.
