One thing I’ve struggled with in this new house is getting used to real wood floors. They look amazing but the house seems that little bit colder with no carpets! Sure we have giant rugs everywhere but I am missing being able to sit on the floor with Dexter with no fear of a cold bum.
Ever the practical one, Craig bought me a pair of Heat Holders socks for Christmas (no, they weren’t my only present) and I can honestly say they’ve made all the difference. It feels like you’re walking on a cloud and they’re so amazingly snuggly and warm.
The secret is the 2.34 tog rating (same rating applied to duvets and sleeping bags) and a unique three-stage knitting process that seals in all the heat. Somehow they’re not too thick either and I can still get my knee-high boots over the top - major plus points for the fashion conscious.
I can’t pretend I’m the outdoorsy type (I even moan on fireworks night as the wind ruins my hair) but I can imagine they’d be the perfect sock for walkers. OH is also ski mad and these socks feel ten times warmer than his. Yes I’m a typical woman and have been known to steal his man-socks on occasion - in fact, I once tripped over the toes (as they’re 4 sizes too big for my diddy feet) and nearly flew head first down the stairs!
With an array of colours, sizes and styles available they’re also perfect for every member of your family - even the little people in your life! Given 2012 was the rainiest year on record I personally think the Government should dole out the wellie socks to every man, woman and child - unfortunately we’re in a recession and they can’t even afford decent flood defences nowadays
Well I’m no David Cameron and have teamed up with the good folks at Heat Holders to spread a bit of foot love. They have given me 3 pairs of warm and toasty socks (RRP £7.99) to giveaway - this means 3 winners and triple the chance to win!
