Whilst we’re under siege by ants and Dexter and I are holed up in my bedroom, I thought I’d take the time to post a review of F&F baby clothes.
I honestly believe F&F offer unbeatable value for kitting out tots. Dexter has been in their pyjamas and sleepsuits since birth. For just £27 we got 2 sets of pyjamas, 2 pairs of trousers, a hoodie, and a pair of espadrilles. That’s excellent value for money and cheaper than buying secondhand from eBay or a Facebook group.
Summer PJ’s - Twinpack for just £6!
As Dexie is about to turn 1, I opted for 12-18 months clothes from their summer collection. Here he is sporting his summer PJ’s - a twinpack will set you back just £6! Dexter is a little on the short side so we did have to roll them up in the leg, but they’re perfect around the tummy.
A little free tip from me - PJ’s are great as you can use the tops as little tees in the summer.
Green hoodie at a bargain £5, Chinos at £6 and Espadrille’s at £4
His little green hoodie has been invaluable with all this temperamental weather we’ve had. I was also impressed with the fact it has a soft plastic zip that doesn’t irritate his skin. Dexter has a similar hoodie by Ralph Lauren and it scratches at his neck when it’s fully zipped up. The hood itself is absolutely huge which is fabulous for babies who have a tendency to pull hats off as it’s not too snug around their head. It’s one of those wardrobe essentials you can shove in your change bag and whip out as and when.
The turn up chinos are lovely quality with an elasticated waistband. When you roll up the ankles they stay put too which is fabulous - I feel like I’m forever turning up his trousers so he doesn’t trip over them (he must be due a growth spurt soon as he’s dinky compared to his peers). Dexter is sporting a dark blue pair but they also do them in beige, orange, bright blue and dark green. These are just £6 so we’ve gone ahead and stocked up on all the colours.
Perhaps my favourite thing though, is his Espadrille Canvas Pumps. They’re Dexter’s first ever pair of shoes and they look adorable! The grips are ideal for tentative walkers - Dexter wears them around the house if he wants to play with his toddle truck as they don’t slip on our wooden floors. At just £4, they’re amazing.
Espadrille Canvas Pumps at £4
I always like to hold out for a few weeks before posting clothing reviews as I like to see how they wash. I have to say I haven’t been disappointed. Every item has washed like a dream and the colour of his chinos hasn’t faded either.
If, like us, you do your food shop at Tescos you can click and collect at your local store. If not, there’s free delivery on all orders over £50. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
