Some people are in their element when they organise their child’s birthday party. Inspired by their child’s favourite soft toy or tv programme, their creativity knows no bounds. I’ve been to Mario parties where I might as well have walked through my tv screen. These mummy’s think of everything. Every square inch of their lounge or hired hall is decorated, all the food is themed, and the birthday boy or girl is trussed up in a homemade outfit that would make Kirstie Allsopp proud. Sickeningly these parties usually the brainchild of one very dedicated mummy and her trusty craft kit. She makes it all look so effortless.

For the rest of mere mortals, a child’s birthday is months of worrying and a last-minute dash to the supermarket. We’re just proud that we remembered to pop the right time and venue on the invitations and that other children actually turned up to wish our little one’s a happy birthday. We’re the sort of parents that forget all about paper plates, napkins, and cupcakes. Our spread consists of cocktail sausages ceremoniously dumped in a Pyrex dish, hastily made sarnies, and a few packets of Wotsits. We’ve gone ahead and booked a DJ that someone has recommended on Facebook and have our fingers crossed that this will keep the kids entertained until the two hours are up.

But now, I’ve discovered a website that promises to take all the stress away and help you create the ultimate themed party table - whatever the occasion - Neviti!

  9. I would pick Shimmering Snowflake as this year is the first year that I’m holding christmas dinner in my own home!! We normally have dinner at my mums or sisters but this year my little monkey is three years old and finally getting what christmas is all about, so it’s all over to mine and with these lush party supplies I’d be sure to make an impact even if I burn the turkey lol

  10. Rocking Rudolph as we are spending our first Chrismas in our own home and it will help to get everyone in the Christmassy party spirit.

  11. I love the Dear Zoo range, it’s so cute, and I’m a massive animal lover… the next party I’m planning to have is for my son’s christening, so I’m not sure it’d be totally occasion appropriate, but it’d suit our family to a T!

  16. I adore the Halloween set, we always theme our home in advance and dress up on the 31st for when children knock on the door. Last year we had a glow in the dark skeleton which scared me to death when it fell off the wall, and in the dark all I could see was a glowing pool of ectoplasm on the floor.. (I didn’t have my glasses on!!) haha xx

  17. Id choose the ‘Ahoy There’ Range so I could use for my sons birthday in December. He loves Jake & the Neverland Pirates so he would love it :)

  18. Vintage Romance, for an engagement tea. My parents are finally finally getting married after thirty-some happy years together!
