REVIEW Little Bird Told Me - Curious Caterpillar Rocker

Posted on

I don’t think I can put into words just how awesome this little Curious Caterpillar Infant Rocker has been. When you have a baby as fidgety and naughty as my little guy, it’s an absolute life-saver!

I’ve had my eye on one of these ever since I was pregnant. It was right up there with a rocking horse and an activity mat on my list of ‘wants’. The problem I had was that the ones I saw on the highstreet didn’t look particularly safe. They didn’t have anything to support baby’s bum so it seemed that an aggressive rock would see baby falling off! This is what makes this one from Little Bird Told Me so great as there’s a proper little seat for Dexter to plonk his butt in.

Until this rocker (or Izzy as we like to call her) came into my living room I had daily fights with Dexter. He’d make a beeline for the tv cabinet and pull the wires out of the Blu Ray Player, or seek out mummy’s glass of water and smash it on the floor. Now he’ll sit quietly on his rocker and watch Wimbledon with me.

It’s his own little chair and he simply loves being in it. In terms of comfort and safety it’s incredibly well thought-out with easy to grip handles and foot plates. It’s much roomier than its picture suggests and will comfortably hold my chunky little fella for a few years.

There are lots of clever little features too. Izzy also has a large bum (I think it might actually be an apple but I like to think she’s outdone me on the bum stakes) which opens up and doubles as storage for a few of Dexter’s soft toys. She’s also a mummy and has baby caterpillar rattle which also lives in her derriere. With plenty of crinkly bits and hidden squeaks there’s plenty of added interest to keep little one’s entertained.

At £85 Izzy isn’t cheap, but she’s built to last, surprisingly easy to clean and provides a really safe ride for tiny ones. Dexter has really taken to her and I’m really pleased he has his very own seat to relax in so he’s no longer climbing all over me!

IZZY REVIEW Little Bird Told Me Curious Caterpillar Rocker

I definitely recommend heading to Little Bird Told Me to check out some of their other lovely bits and pieces. They have some beautiful rocking horses for older children that I’ve fallen in love with, and activity gyms and soft toys for tiny tots. They’re on Facebook too so definitely worth giving them a little like and reading some other reviews.

  1. wow a storage section at the back! never seen one with that! we have a similar rocking animal but not with the full seat like that. ours is a rocking reindeer from mamas and papas, which is really cute but i think yours has more features!

    • I know. I thought it was impressive too. I saw that Mamas and Papas one at Christmas! I think Lottie might have a full seat (the ladybird collection) but it definitely doesn’t have half the added interest that Izzy does. The baby rattle is adorable and so clever.
