I recently did an email alert cull so sick was I of wading through zillions of emails everyday. The result? With all the thousands of baby brand newsletters gone, I’ve rediscovered my love of Groupon.
Looking around our home, there are Groupon purchases everywhere - from our luxury kitchen knives to the canvas prints of Dexter on the wall. We’ve also had lots of days and evenings out thanks to their deals. The only thing I’ve yet to buy is anything beauty related - but all that is set to change next week. I’m getting the chop thanks to some deals on Bristol hairdressers!
Given I’m up that way in a few weeks visiting mates, I’m going to use the excuse to get this barnet sorted whilst I’m hands-free. Whilst Dexter will be at home with an unsuspecting Daddy, I’m going to hack deep into the locks he loves so much and go for something new.
I’ve had the same haircut now for years. I dye it dark brown, but it’s always wavy or straight. I decided to grow out my fringe (at the recommendation insistence of Craigy) a few weeks back and now my hair looks like it could house small birds. Dexter is also at that age where he instinctively grabs at it and pulls it out.
Flicking through some Spring 2013 hair trends for inspiration, I’ve got my heart set on a sleek and easy-to-manage little number that even I should be able to tame on a daily basis (I used straightener’s on wet hair for a full year before learning that the sizzles weren’t normal).
So what do we think of this (without the fringe)? I like the way it’s so heavily layered but there’s still enough length to twirl it around my GHD’s if I fancy a change. It’ll be my first foray into the world of layering so I’ll have to commit to wearing it down and not bunging it into a ponytail but I think I could handle it. What do think? Is it baby-friendly enough?
